Centaur Products is proud to announce its crucial contribution in the development and construction of the Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton, which opened its doors to the public in January. Located in southeastern Calgary’s Seton district, this new $193 million facility covers an impressive area of over 30,000 square meters, surpassing Rocky Ridge’s Shane Homes YMCA (which Centaur also played a pivotal role in) as the largest YMCA in the world.
The Brookfield Residential YMCA, which offers an extensive variety of activities and fitness resources, has already achieved paramount status in the area and is being lauded as an iconic Calgary landmark. The YMCA has certainly wasted no time in providing the community with numerous opportunities for sports, recreation, aquatics, leisure, and education. Additionally, performance venues, multi-purpose areas, child-care services, and a full-scale library round out the spectrum, achieving the ambitious goals set in the planning process.
Centaur closely collaborating with local YMCA management and leading developers (who spared no expense in their ambitious design) throughout this planning process and fulfilled their vision by supplying and furnishing the first-in-class community recreation facility with durable hardwood flooring, elevated grandstand seating, innovative retractable telescopic seating, and an assortment of both basketball and volleyball equipment of the finest quality.
No recreational organization knows basketball or volleyball better than the YMCA, considering that both sports originated at the YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1891 and have been celebrated cornerstones of the institution’s athletics achievements in an unrivaled relationship ever since. With that in mind, the YMCA’s choice of Centaur Products as its trusted supplier of basketball and volleyball equipment is truly a testament to our unmatched quality and service.
Centaur Products is honored to have played an important part in not only the development of the Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton, but the privilege of continuing to serve the community through its contributions.
